According to the notice of the general office of the Ministry of Education on publishing the list of both national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites in 2019, economics is selected as the national first-class undergraduate major construction site, and national economics management the provincial first-class undergraduate major construction site.
Since April 2019, the Ministry of Education has implemented the “double 10,000 plan” for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, planning to build about 10,000 national first-class undergraduate majors and 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate majors in two years between 2019 and 2021. In 2019, the Ministry of Education recognized the first batch of 4,054 national first-class undergraduate majors construction sites (including 1,691 central tracks and 2,363 local tracks), and 6,210 provincial first-class undergraduate majors construction sites. This year, two majors in our school are selected into the first-class undergraduate majors construction sites at both national and provincial levels, a full affirmation of the school's major construction and talent cultivation results.
In the next phase, our school will further strengthen the construction of national and provincial first-class undergraduate majors, enhance the connotation of all majors, enrich their characteristics, promote each construction site to give full play to the role of demonstration and radiation in professional reform and innovation, faculty, teaching resources, quality assurance system, etc., and continue to improve the overall quality of the major construction in School of Econcomics.
